Carne Asada Burritos
Ingredients for grilling meat:
- 1 packet (about 2 cups) Carne Asada Marinade
- 2 lbs. venison steak, but into 2-inch strips
Ingredients to make burritos:
- Flour tortillas
- Shredded cheese
- Sour cream
- Cilantro
- Refried beans
- Shredded lettuce
- Salsa
Preparation:
- Cut venison into 2-inch strips, removing any fat and/or silver skin.
- Save ½ cup of marinade to use for basting and place venison in the remaining marinade for 1-2 hours and store in the refrigerator. If making this in the backcountry, just marinate for an hour before cooking and try to keep it in a cool spot.
- Grill the meat, turning often to slightly char the outside, and basting with the reserved marinade, until cooked through.
- Remove the venison from the grill and shred or chop the meat.
- Assemble the burritos by placing meat, and the burrito fillers onto a flour tortilla. Fold and enjoy!
